Yuzi Paradise, or "Fool's Paradise" in Chinese, is a fantasy world in which any visitor can experience both the power and the excitement of art and sculpture. Backed by Taiwanese entrepreneur Tsao Rhy-chang,the creators of Yuzi Paradise spent almost ten years developing large-scale outdoor art projects prior to opening to the public in 2004. At a cost of millions of dollars, and with the help of curatorial staff and visiting artists from around the world, the park exhibits more than 200 sculptures by 140 artists representing 47 nationalities.
